Dr. Jaya Kochenburger graduated with a BA in Biology and Biochemistry from Drew University and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in New York City. Her primary interests are in radiology and diagnostic imaging, general practice, emergency medicine and toxicology. Over the course of her education and career she has published two veterinary academic papers and has been a firm believer in giving back to the community by participating in pro bono pet health fairs and fostering dogs.

Dr. Kochenburger grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey and as a child she loved animals and wanted many pets. Her parents told her that if she wanted a lot of pets in the future she had to become a veterinarian, so she did! She is thrilled to be back home in the Tri-State area caring for the four-legged companions that she loves. Her and her husband have three rescue dogs; a Pit Bull named Lady, a Doberman Pinscher named Aubrey and a Pit Mix named Ipso Facto.
